spinning day
Fran Evans came to visit us today to show us how to spin wool. We learnt how to wash the fleece, card it and spin on a spindle and then ply it into a usable yarn. I must admit that not much yarn was spun at the end of the day as we all found it a bit tricky but I think quite a few of us are enthused enough to carry on and get better at it. Some of us had a go on a spinning wheel. Fran made it look so easy.
