Even though the weather has been miserable, lots of colourful creativity
Mary and Margaret have been doing some stunning embroidery and I love pictures of pallets and work boxes
Birgitta was transforming a very cheap and ordinary picture frame
Some works in progress – I am really impressed when people do a study before the main picture like this one of a watercolour before doing the oil
Anne started an elephant in oil
I have finished the Italian costal scene and went all moody with this seascape – maybe it was the weather that got to me
Sorry I haven’t been posting lately but here are some pictures of the splendid work done recently
Jan has tried to create a wood cut effect
Mary sewing another stunning embroidery
Some lovely water colours
painted and decoupaged boxes and trays
a beautiful sepia sketch by Ola
a couple of oils – the seascape holiday picture had been started by Andy and I finished it off
Bee has finished this now – just beautiful
a very Eastern feel from Jane … and finally
I love pictures of pallets
We were so lucky today to have Janine come to demonstrate
We had a bit more trouble trying to emulate her style
but we will keep trying
Sue was starting to create pom pom cushion
Jeanette was continuing with her cross stitch and Mary was painting another box
On thursday some water colour paintings were started
… and I finally finished the pom pom rug – a labour of love and an expensive one too
Frances was laying out some beautiful fabric to make a quilt
Clare had made another teddy bear in preparation for the course on 25th July
Sue was making progress with her cork board and Birgitta had made a stunning lampshade with headlines from a German newspaper
Mary finished her beautiful cushion
… and on Thursday we were sketching and painting
Birgitta has finished her lacquered tray and Brigitte was doing a delicate decoupaged box
but mostly we were painting this week. Some lovely watercolours
and some acrylic and oil
